Pineapple Support, Chaturbate to Host ‘Beyond Abuse’ Industry Support Group

Pineapple Support and Chaturbate have partnered on a free six-week webinar series titled “Beyond Abuse,” beginning Tuesday, November 9, at 3 p.m. (PDT).

The series will be led by therapist Miki Anderson, LPC.

“The ‘Beyond Abuse’ support group is yet another example of the excellent work that Pineapple Support does to provide accessible and educational resources to the entire adult entertainment community,” Chaturbate COO Shirley Lara said. “From Pineapple Support’s very inception, Chaturbate has been an enthusiastic supporter of the amazing goals and objectives of the organization in creating a supportive space for adult performers to feel heard, seen and understood.”

The group, founded in 2018 by Leya Tanit after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses, has so far connected over 5,000 adult performers and industry members to mental health services, including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.

“We’d like to thank Chaturbate for their ongoing support and generosity and helping to make events like this possible,” said Tanit. “Anyone that wants to learn more about how to heal from abuse, as well as those interested in supporting others in their community, will benefit greatly from this safe and stigma-free space to explore the topic under Miki’s guidance. Miki is a fantastic counselor, with more than 10 years of experience and knowledge in the realms of kink and ethical non-monogamy.”

Each session is scheduled to run 90 minutes.
