I’m so glad you’re here! I’m excited to collaborate with you in working toward increasing safety, wellness, and pleasure in your life. I’d love to work together to figure out what you’re already doing that’s working for you and develop a plan to build on your current strengths and supports to help you move toward the sexual life and relationships you want.
Most of us have been taught not to talk about sex and our bodies, and many of us have been taught to be ashamed of our bodies and what we think about, fantasize about, and do sexually. I believe that everyone is a sexual being, and that sexual expression is a healthy part of all of our lives.
We’ll collaborate in a space that is safe, welcoming, supportive, and non-judgmental, where we will learn and grow together. I particularly enjoy collaborating with folks who are erotically marginalized. I approach my work with a sex-positive, strengths-based, trauma-informed, harm reduction, kink and poly-affirming, intersectional, anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQ friendly lens.
You and your experiences are safe with me. I believe all human beings deserve to be treated with unconditional respect and dignity. No exceptions.
I enjoy working with a variety of approaches and we can discuss which ones might be most helpful and meaningful for you. In our work together, we may integrate approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, CBCST (Cognitive Behaviorally Centered Sex Therapy), The Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy, Surrogate Partner Therapy, Sensate Focus, and more.
I am a curious, lifelong learner, and I am always learning and growing through education, training, reading, volunteering, and seeking out new experiences. I am always seeking more skills to give you the best therapy experience possible. There is so much to learn, and I am looking forward to learning and growing with you.
Sometimes all we need is for someone to hold a safe space for us while we explore and process. Sometimes what we need is specific education, skills, and the support to develop them. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the field of sexual wellness, my goal isn’t to tell you where you should go, what you should do, or how you should be, but to help you move in the direction of the life you want, wherever that might take you.
