“As a leading affiliate conference, TES Affiliate Conferences is always inspired by quality initiatives,” says Walter Andreas, co-founder of TES Affiliate Conferences. “The work of Pineapple Support is outstanding and we are proud to support this initiative whenever possible.”

Pineapple Support was founded in 2018 by Leya Tanit after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation, which is a registered 501(c)3 tax-deductible qualifying charity in the US and a registered charity in the UK, has so far connected nearly nine hundred adult performers with mental health services, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling and emotional support.

“We’re incredibly thankful for the comprehensive sponsorship donated by The European Summit. The generosity and support of the whole TES team have allowed us to sponsor a wide variety of initiatives during the conference,” says Tanit. “The private meeting room provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle for anyone wanting to learn more about mental health and how your company can get involved.”

Those who want to speak with a member of the Pineapple Support team during the TES Affiliate Conference should email contact@pineapplesupport.org to arrange an appointment.

Pineapple Support, Silverstein Legal Team Up for TES Show

Pineapple Support has announced a partnership with legal advocate Silverstein Legal for the upcoming 2019 European Summit (TES) in Prague from September 13-16.

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit and adult industry attorney Corey D. Silverstein of Silverstein Legal will be on hand during the trade show offering free consultations from their private suite on issues related to performer mental health and well-being.

“We wanted to help people prioritize the issues that affect their businesses and their workers,” said Tanit. “By creating a space away from the crowds, and offering free, confidential consultations, we can provide a bit of refuge for businesses to address issues critical to their growth and success.”

Pineapple Support is additionally welcoming any potential sponsors to visit the suite to learn how they can help support the mental health of workers in the adult industry and will hold a “Building Stronger Companies Through Mental Health” seminar at TES on September 14.

Silverstein will also present several educational seminars throughout the conference, including “Legal for Newbies: Back to Basics” on September 14 at 11 a.m.(GMT+2), “FOSTA/SESTA Update” later in the day at 2 p.m. and “Legal: Where are We Now and Where are We Going” on the 15th at 2 p.m.

“Silverstein Legal is proud to be returning as a sponsor to TES in Prague,” commented Silverstein. “After last year’s remarkable event, and substantial interest from TES attendees for scheduled and impromptu legal meetings, we wanted to provide attendees with a quiet and private place to meet. Teaming up with Pineapple Support for this special place was the perfect fit given the anonymity and privacy that our respective clients desire.”

Pineapple Support is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in the United States and a registered charity in the U.K. Since its founding in 2018, it has connected over two-hundred-and-fifty adult performers to mental health services; including free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.

Silverstein Legal is a boutique law firm focused on areas of the law that impact the adult entertainment industry. His clientele includes hosting companies, affiliate programs, content producers, payment processors, website operators, dating websites, webcam sites, traffic brokers, affiliates, advertising networks and social media websites and performers.

Those interested in consulting with Tanit or Silverstein should contact them directly to schedule the meeting. The suite will be open for walk-in appointments during the show, as available.

Three-day Whirlwind Through Prague Gets Performers One Step Closer

For those outside the adult industry, it’s important to point out that the executives working in this industry are by and large huge supporters of the talented people who consistently turn out the most amazing content for the massive worldwide audience of porn fans. The industry sustains itself with a circuit of business-focused tradeshows that include the one Pineapple recently attended in Prague.

“It was quite a whirlwind of activity,” explained Pineapple CEO Leya Tanit. “From a full slate of meetings each day with producers, directors and service providers, to the evening award shows and activities throughout the day I managed to meet with dozens of top quality companies and the amazing people who manage them at every level. Presenting the Pineapple mission is a passion of mine, and I can say that the enthusiasm and receptive remarks we got back in response to what we are doing was extraordinary.”

The industry is well aware that the mental, physical and social health of sex workers and performers is a vital part of what makes the industry function. Many of the execs we spoke with are former performers or are very close to a number of performers, which gives them an important amount of perspective on the urgent issues facing some of todays top starlets.

“As one company owner said to me, ‘we don’t make cars or widgets like other industries, we are the most intimately human sector and our interest in the health of our performers goes far beyond any financial or commercial limits. We want every consenting adult who participates in our films or watches them from home to know that each actor and actress are cared for to the full extent we can foster on their behalf.’ – and that sentiment was echoed by nearly everyone I spoke with during the Prague tradeshow, said Ms. Tanit.”

Pineapple will continue to remain very active throughout the year at a variety of shows inside and outside the adult industry, providing a presence and a voice for performers who often choose not to attend. If you would like more information about our upcoming schedule, to arrange meetings or wish to discuss issues you would like to see raised by our staff during future events please contact us today. We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to ensure the highest degree of safety, security and respect for everyone who works in the adult marketplace whether they have their clothes on or off while doing so.
