I have been in practice for over 13 years and have experience working with a diverse client population in a variety of settings including community based agencies, an inpatient hospital and a college counseling center. My primary areas of interest are working with clients with sexual abuse trauma, family of origin/relational difficulties, grief and loss, anger, anxiety, depression, cultural generation conflict and low self-esteem.
The relationship between the therapist and client is an important part of the healing process. I seek to provide a nonjudgmental space where the client feels accepted, supported and validated. I help clients to create authentic and balanced lives, which I believe contribute to overall well-being. My approach is to help clients identify strengths, challenge and change negative self-talk and core beliefs, identify changes they can make, and overcome obstacles that are holding them back.
