Stoptober Fundraising – Join The Band Wagon

Firstly, I would like to put forward a huge congrats to the wonderful and amazing Leya Tanit. Her current fund raiser (although not unique) absolutely deserves your support. It’s nearing the end but also the time to join with the congratulations and show your appreciation by donating to an incredibly important cause.

October began with an announcement by Leya Tanit, the CEO of Pineapple Support.

“As someone who consistently promotes self/care, positive actions toward better mental health and well-being, it seemed fitting to hop on the #Stoptober band wagon and raise some funds to provide much needed mental health resources for persons working in the adult industry”.

Every single dollar donated can help someone in need and even the smallest amount makes a huge difference. If you’ve been helped, or know someone that would like to help, please pass on this important message.

The closing party weekend mid-month was always going to be the biggest challenge but in her words

“Well, I am pleased and extremely proud to say, I rose to the challenge. Indulging in the festivities while completely alcohol free. I have never consumed so much sparkling water, or visited the toilet so much during an event, but waking up the following mornings feeling fresh (and rather smug) definitely made it worthwhile”.

If you’ve got any ideas on raising funds and awareness of this incredible charity, please do get in touch as we’d love to hear from you!

Pineapple Support Seeks Volunteers for Diversity, Fundraising Subcommittees

Pineapple Support is launching two new subcommittees to provide advice on diversity and fundraising, and is inviting volunteers to provide recommendations and support to help steer the organization’s direction.

“The direction of Pineapple Support is guided by members of the adult industry who donate their time and ideas to help steer the organization,” said founder and CEO Leya Tanit. “We’re looking to bring in fresh voices and energy that can help us expand our reach and grow our services.”

The Diversity subcommittee will “advise and provide insights on how mental health services, support, events, marketing and communications can better represent the entire spectrum of adult industry members, helping to ensure the organization’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity,” said a rep.

The Fundraising subcommittee “will help guide future fundraising activities by the organization, advising on and helping to organize events and campaigns that will continue to fund Pineapple Support’s mission to support the mental health and well-being of sex workers around the world.”

Those interested in volunteering for either subcommittee should email contact@pineapplesupport.org to request further information. Details about additional ways to support Pineapple Support as a company or individual can be found on the organization’s website.

Pineapple Support Launches Fundraising Competition For Mental Health Month

Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health resource, has launched a fundraising campaignto raise money for mental health services, as part of mental health month this May. The organisation is hosting a competition to encourage performers to help raise funds and break the stigma around mental health in the adult industry.

The competition, which runs until May 31st, empowers performers to create their own fundraising page to support those struggling with mental health issues. Performers are asked to include a short personal story of why they want to raise funds to support mental health, to help break the stigma.

The performer that raises the most money will win a hamper of natural pamper products worth $250. The winner will be announced on May 31, 2021 when the competition ends.

“This year, the theme for Mental Health Month is ‘Nature’ and we would like to take this opportunity to unite with you, our supporters, therapists and friends, to help spread the word about what mental health means to you and break down the stigma surrounding it,” says Leya Tanit, founder and President of Pineapple Support. “We are asking you, our supporters, to donate what you can to help us continue providing our much needed resources. Whether you create your own fundraiser, donate, or merely share our fundraising page, you can help us to create a healthier and happier adult industry.”

Tanit founded Pineapple Support in 2018, after a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States, has so far connected over 2000 adult performers to mental health services, including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling and emotional support.

“May is mental health month, a time to speak up, support, educate and unite,” says Kelly Jones, AMFT, Pineapple Support Therapist. “We want people to help break the stigma surrounding mental health. The more we talk about it, the less shame and stigma there is.”

Porn Discounts has committed to donating $1 from each membership sale from their Stormy Daniels email campaign “Make America Cum Again” to Pineapple Support, the adult industry’s leading mental health resource.

“The work that Pineapple Support does for our performers really aims to make the adult industry great again, so we could think of no better way to support them then by tying it to our “MACA” campaign.” says Porn Discounts co-founder V_RocKs.

Plus, for each sale made through this email campaign, Porn Discounts will donate $1 each to Pineapple Support and the K9’s for Warriors charity — two of Stormy’s favorite charities.

Pineapple Support was launched in 2018 by Leya Tanit, in response to a string of losses in the adult industry from depression and other mental illnesses. The organisation, which is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit in the United State and a registered charity in the UK, has so far connected nearly five hundred adult performers to mental health services; including free and low-cost, therapy, counseling and emotional support.

“Porn Discounts has been incredibly supportive of the work we do at Pineapple Support, and has found an inventive, clever way to raise funds for the work we do in the community,” says Leya Tanit, founder of Pineapple Support. “The initiative adult companies have shown for helping further the work we do is staggering. We thank Porn Discounts joining the fight for improved performer well-being.”
