I believe therapy is a unique experience based on human connection. Studies show it is not the modality used in therapy, but rather the strength and trust of the therapeutic relationship which leads to better outcomes. My goal with each client is to get to know who they are and create a treatment plan unique to them.
I am an associate marriage and family therapist seeings individuals, couples, and adolescents located in California via telehealth. I specialize in working with trauma, especially religious trauma and spiritual abuse. I work extensively with clients who are LGBTQIA+ or non-monogamous/polyamorous and provide counseling to all relationship structures. I also am affirming of kink/BDSM and work from a sex positive lens. Many of my clients are neurodiverse adults who were labeled as “gifted kids” growing up who are now struggling with burnout from the experience of trying to keep pace with their neurotypical peers and looking for support for how to work with their own unique brain. I also work with many creative types and young people seeking to explore their goals, aspirations, and how they can achieve them.
As a bisexual, asexual, and polyamorous person raised within the evangelical church, it is a great honor of mine to provide support to people in my own communities who may have felt pathologized or misunderstood by traditional psychology. My goal is to create a space where you don’t need to explain who you are and we can focus on helping you build the most fulfilling life possible.
