Kara Katz is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts. She has a great deal of interest and experience in working with sex workers, LGBTQ+ folks, and other marginalized populations. Kara understands that although sex work is real work, that it is not easy work.

Kara’s approach is influenced by a number of theories and practices, but much of her work aligns with Mindfulness-Based CBT. Despite this, she knows that “positive thinking” or having a prescriber start or increase medication does not ease the pain and suffering brought on by capitalism and the iniquities that are so present in the world today.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys traveling, fiber and textile arts, and spending time with her pets and loved ones.
