Dr. Taylor is the director of Clinical Services at Harmony Sex Therapy and Solutions Counseling and Consulting, Inc., a behavioral company she founded in 2003. She is a Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist who specialize in working with adults to navigating their behavioral and sexual health issues. Dr. Taylor has over twenty years of professional experience and has spent the past twenty years practicing in Houston, Texas. As a private practitioner, she offers a wide range of services; to include but not limited to individual and group counseling, coaching and psychotherapy, and behavior health workshops. She has a wealth of knowledge, experience and training in working with survivors of sexual trauma and providing trauma informed care. Dr. Taylor enjoys working with culturally diverse populations. Dr. Taylor is a licensed professional counselor supervisor, a licensed sex offender treatment provider and supervisor, a licensed chemical dependency counselor and a national certified counselor. She is completing her training with Modern Sex Therapy Institute as a Certified Sex Therapist. Dr. Taylor earned her Doctor of Education in Counseling in 2005 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Sociology in 1997 from Texas Southern University. In addition, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Houston-Downtown in 1993. She is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, the Association for the Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Abuse, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress and American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapist.
In addition to her professional work Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include water fitness, dancing, reading, writing, traveling and music. Dr. Taylor prides herself in being a wife and mother to her husband and children.
