Chloe is an attachment focused and social justice oriented therapist that is trained in a variety of evidence based modalities including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Chloe received her Bachelors Degree in Criminology and Psychology and completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology, where she wrote her thesis on the The Mental Health Effects of Stigma in Sex Work.
Chloe loves working with people who feel they do not fit into normative counselling spaces, such as LGBTQ2S+, sex workers, folks in the poly/kink community, and those with stigmatized labels such as Borderline Personality Disorder. Her aim as a therapist is to create a safe and non-judgemental environment in which you feel comfortable talking about any thoughts, feelings or experiences regardless of how embarrassing or shameful you believe them to be, and be met with acceptance, warmth and respect.
Chloe aims to help people cope with distress and difficulties they are experiencing while also striving to help them develop an awareness and understanding of emotions, thoughts, and the meaning underlying their struggles. She finds it important to emphasize the strengths and resilience of her clients while being in a relaxed and informal environment.
