I strive to provide individuals with ways to explore, cope, and manage concerns of mental health, feelings of being stuck, and family/relationship issues, as well as to find ways to improve on their overall well-being and health. My aim is to collaborate with individuals and families to find solutions on issues that are causing them pain and suffering by tailoring my approach to specific needs. I work with clients from a goal oriented perspective and encourage exploring the meaning behind behaviours, thought patterns, and feelings so as to provide transferable skills both inside and outside of the counselling realm.
I have experience working with youth, young adults, and families from both mental health and behavioural perspectives. My career has involved working alongside youth and families who have been impacted by or experiencing the child welfare system, various forms of trauma, self-harm behaviour, suicidality, and an array of various mental health concerns.
Counselling can be a difficult process for individuals to go through. With a transparent, ethical, and empathic therapeutic relationship, these concerns can be mitigated, and positive change can be achieved. I aim to provide open-minded support and help guide individuals to reach their goals through a collaborative and tailored approach.
