Pineapple Support Corporate Training & Support Group

Pineapple Support Corporate Training Initiative to help staff at individual companies provide better support to models.

The training sessions are available exclusively to the employees of companies that sponsor Pineapple Support.

Dealing with mental health issues without the proper training can be traumatic for both the person struggling and the person attempting to help. We know that platform staff aren’t always equipped to deal with these issues, so we’re now offering corporate training sessions for our sponsors so that their employees know how to react, and what resources can be provided, when someone is in need.

This is the first step in helping to build a greater web of support for industry workers. Equipped with the right knowledge and training, employees who work directly with models can play a critical role in providing crisis support.

The training sessions will cover topics including how to identify and react to a performer in crisis, how to support a sexual trauma survivor, spotting the early signs of mental health issues and invisible disabilities, as well as training in gender, sexual orientation, cyber bullying and BIPOC-specific support. The interactive training will take place every two months and will be available to rewatch on a password-protected website.

If you have a business and would like to find out how to become an official sponsor of Pineapple Support, view the available packages by visiting https://pineapplesupport.org/sponsorship/.

“Sex Trafficking: A Forgotten Epidemic” with Rachael Wells
2023

Sex trafficking is widely misunderstood as a thing of the past, or something that only happens in movies or big cities. However, sex trafficking occurs in all communities at a high rate and is perpetrated by many individuals most would not suspect. The grooming, trafficking, and abuse can occur in many different ways. Sex trafficking survivors endure a specific type of trauma that may bond them to those that hurt them, making this a population challenging to reach. In this presentation we will learn how to identify warning signs, use harm reduction, and compassionate care to be an advocate for the needs of survivors.

Rachael is an empathetic, driven, passionate individual and leader who provides high quality, person-centered therapy from acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR AIP, mindfulness, self-compassion, internal family systems, and strengths-based models.

Rachael is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and holds the title of EMDR approved therapist. Rachael is also a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200).

Rachael works with populations that include people dealing with acute sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual abuse, low self-compassion, low impulse control, those with borderline personality disorder, the sex worker community, and the transgender community. “Kindness and Awareness” with Rachael Wells

Invisible disabilities are extremely prevalent (10% of the population) and can range from learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical conditions that require no or sporadic use of assistive devices, and more. Due to the invisibility and covert nature of these conditions, those living with these experience a wide range of stigma, judgment, and reduced access to care. Join to learn about how to discuss these concerns and use compassion to fuel interactions with all individuals and performers.
