Brittany Rivers, LMHC, NCC
Although I grew up primarily in Alabama, Gainesville has become my home. After I completed my undergraduate degree, I worked on farms around the country. As much as I love being outdoors, I discovered that my passion was sharing with and supporting others through life’s challenges. I then went back to school to become a therapist. I hope to support you wherever you find yourself on your journey through life.
When I’m not working, I enjoy the outdoors, weightlifting and spending time with my partner and Italian greyhounds.

I have a diverse background in a variety of settings. I have worked with individuals in inpatient, outpatient, residential and partial hospitalization levels of care. Much of my experience has been with individuals who struggle with both mental health and substance use issues. I have a history of working with a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment team conducting individual and group sessions for both adults and adolescents. I have conducted research on increasing counselor competency in working with LGBT clients and nature-based play therapy.
