Bonnie Levy Wargo, MFT
Country: USA
State: California
Bonnie Levy Wargo is a Licensed Psychotherapist who received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies. She completed rigorous, psychoanalytically-oriented clinical training at Valley Community Counseling Clinic and the Center For Individual and Family Counseling. She gained additional experience supporting individuals with suicidal ideation through training at Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center.
Bonnie has a style that is open, curious, and light-hearted. When working with individuals and couples, she uses a psychodynamic approach to improve day-to-day functioning and bring about changes that last a lifetime. The confidential and inquisitive nature of this work allows her to openly discuss, rework, and give meaning to past and present experiences with her patients, including problematic relationships and psychological patterns. This style of work opens up deep parts of the mind and, for some, it is also the telehealth format that provides an unparalleled sense of intimacy and safety.
She specializes in working through underlying causes of anxiety and depression, especially with people who have previously felt unaccepted, unbelonging and marginalized due to things such as gender, race, sexual orientation, body shape, ability, spirituality, drug use and lifestyle.
