Amanda Peters, LPC
You want to be seen and heard. I am here to listen and support you. My role in therapy is to assist you in gaining clarity, and if wanted, to offer guidance and solutions. My approach is meeting you where you are. Your therapy is your process — your time is sacred. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every person is a whole person. Together we will work as a team to determine the best approach to identify your needs and priorities.
Over the past 15 years, my experience has included working with individuals, couples, and groups. My work with clients has primarily focused on interpersonal conflicts, depression, addiction, anxiety, and relationship issues, including non-monogamous relationships. Additionally, as a queer person myself, I have a personal understanding of LGBTQIA+ challenges.
My counseling practice is sex positive and a safe space for LBGTQIA+ individuals. My approach is gender-affirming for trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming clients. Whether you are currently transitioning, exploring gender identity, or are a friend or family member, I am here for you.
