Adelaide Harris
Executive Assistant
Adelaide (she/her) is a Black, queer woman living in Manchester, UK. She is a voice actor, trainee electrician and qualified midwife.
Through her midwifery work, Adelaide consulted on projects which promoted perinatal health, wellbeing and equality for LGBTQ+ people of colour. In partnership with the UK-based charity, Black Beetle Health, she developed evidence-based resources, facilitated discussion spaces and created links with other organisations that provided culturally safe support services. Adelaide’s main aim was always to ensure that healthcare professionals recognised the ways in which intersectionality multiplies marginalisation for under-served communities.
Adelaide is delighted to be able to use her varied skills to the benefit of Pineapple Support in her role as Executive Assistant to Leya Tanit. She believes strongly that all people should have equal and easy to access safe, affordable and appropriate mental health support.
