Adam Fields, M.A., LMFT, CST
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and AASECT-certified sex therapist. My teletherapy sessions provide you with a safe, comfortable space to discuss your sexual life and answer your questions, all within the framework of a sex-positive atmosphere. I don’t believe in pathologizing someone’s sexual behaviors. My philosophy is simple: if it’s consensual, and it’s not hurting you or your partner(s), your sexuality and all that it entails (your fantasies, experimentation, whatever turns you on) will be supported, nurtured, and listened to without judgment.
Apart from sex therapy, I specialize in the treatment of individuals with depression and anxiety. Other areas of focus include parenting, aging, and past history of sexual abuse. I see individuals and couples at all stages of development, including those impacted by infidelity. My approach borrows from all modalities, always through an empathic lens. In addition to my private practice, I am an adjunct professor at California State University in Northridge, and Phillips Graduate Institute.
The most important thing to me in the course of counseling is the relationship that I have with my clients. I like to keep a casual but productive atmosphere. I really want to honor whatever struggles you are having. Please reach out today to set up an initial appointment.
