Tigereye Counseling & Psychotherapy
Heather Heunermund, Owner & Psychotherapist, MA, LMHC
We believe that by observing and analyzing our behaviors, feelings, and thoughts through the lens of a tiger’s eye, we learn, grow, and author our own destinies. Anyone can do this. You can do it, too, no matter what you’ve been through. To help you live your dreams, we use the tools of cognitive-behavioral, existential, Gestalt, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive psychotherapies to evoke emotions and process thoughts through Socratic dialogue. It’s more than “talk therapy,” though. It’s experiential. We believe that Life’s Learning™ and you can do anything you put your mind to – sometimes you just need a little support.
We frame issues in a psychodynamic context to understand patterns of behavior and we use cognitive-behavioral therapy to give clients practical tools for coping. We use Gestalt therapy for problem-solving, processing, stress management, and self-expression; we employ rational-emotive therapy for skill building, and relationships.
Contact us to learn more! Take the next step toward personal growth and self-empowerment. We listen. We care. We will take the time to fully address your needs. You only get one life to live. We want to help you make it the very best!
